Eve Carpentry and Renovations was founded in 1998 and continues to run as a family business.

We were recommended to Joe by a Company we had round to quote for lime rendering a gable end wall on our cottage.
The Company thought that there were issue beyond rendering and so recommended Joe. Having spoke to Joe on the phone and despite being very busy, Joe arranged a date to come and look and evaluate the wall. Joe was there when he said he would be, and after spending sometime looking at the probable issues, agreed that in his opinion the existing render should be removed as he believed the issues behind the render were pretty serious.
We discussed what it might be and a date was arranged for the work to commence. A few weeks went by and we received a call from Joe saying he’s been thinking about things and wasn’t happy with the way the wall
Was and as Christmas was approaching, his conscience made him drive the hour to our cottage and he installed an Acro ‘ to keep us safe over Christmas’
When the time came, he was here on time with one of his team and they set to work. Joe said 2 weeks approx and it was approx 12 days. The two of them worked so efficiently, keeping us abreast at all times on what he found and how it would be rectified. He actually didn’t need as much replacement Oak as he first thought and he gave us a revised quote taking off the items he wouldn’t be using despite having purchased them already.
At all times he was extremely tidy and polite and so knowledgeable. He even mended the side gate, painted the wood at the top of the gable end, oh, let the dogs out many times during the day.
The finish was impeccable . Hand on heart, I cannot fault him on anything at all. If you want a craftsman of the highest skill level, and just one of the nicest and polite gentlemen you will ever meet, give Joe a call. Outstanding work from an outstanding craftsman and individual, 1,000,000/10
